The tower was built in 1958 – 1992. The tower became famous because of the babies statues. Even from far away, you can notice climbing babies up to the building. The baby statues were placed here only temporary. They were only installed here as a part of a project. The count of the babies is 10, and the original plan was to take them off the tower after the project was over. However, these fibreglass 150kg (331Ib) sculptures became so popular that the final decision was changed to keep them there. You can see the same statues closely on the ground (the only difference is that these are made of bronze) in Kampa Park.
Zizkov Tower is the highest tower in the Czech Republic. The view of Prague is full 360°. Each cabin presents a different topic. Because Zizkov belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers, the first cabin topic will familiarize you with this federation and other towers which are also part of it. Above all, you will learn many interesting facts. The second cabin is more into relaxation spirit. Seat yourself comfortably into the bubble chairs and enjoy the view of the capital Prague. Art souls will love the third and last vantage point. There are exhibited art pieces of Czech artists, photographers and creatives.
